A tiled box is mounted on the wall, at the level of our gaze, like a window or painting. From within the box, bursting through the rigid surfaces of decorated tiles, erupt long abstract textile volumes; unrecognisable bodies, whose materials, textures and techniques we pinpoint the female universe.
This series appears to herald the collapse of the imprisonment that dictated the woman's confinement to domestic isolation. The drawings adorning the surface of the tiles, whose designs can also be linked to the feminine realm, proclaim freedom and equality. Fed up with being confined, they revolt, transform and announce themselves; brightly coloured, strange yet familiar, shattering the cocoon-like surfaces that they once occupied.
