‘Between Sky and Heart’, installed in the Gallery of the Statues and Paintings and the Regal Medici of Palazzo Pitti, in Florence, Italy, will be on view from 4 October onwards. The famous Florentine museum will welcome Between Sky and Heart, an exhibition by the renowned Portuguese artist who, by combining myth, history and tradition with irony and irreverence, challenges conventions and stereotypes. The exhibition will bring a selection of large-scale artworks to both to the spaces of the Gallery of Statues and Paintings and the Regal Medici, and will be on view from 4 October 2023 – 4 January 2024. “

The ‘Uffizi Galleries’ series of exhibitions dedicated to women artists, which began in 2016, continues this year with a group of large installations created specifically for the Uffizi and Palazzo Pitti by Joana Vasconcelos, one of the most internationally renowed contemporary artists” announces Eike Schmidt, Director of the Uffizi Galleries – “We are very proud to welcome Vasconcelos’ first ever exhibition in our city.”
