Flaming Heart will be presented at the Forster Museum of Textile and Industrial History in Lusatia as part of the first openart Lausitz Biennale. Taking place from July 31 to September 20, 2026, the biennale brings together a wide-ranging programme of art and culture across the region, with exhibitions and projects by regional, national, and international artists, in collaboration with the rural districts and the city of Cottbus.
Originally developed as a site-specific installation for the historic cloister of the Santa Caterina a Formiello monastery in Naples, Flaming Heart draws on a place whose history is deeply connected to textile production. In Forst, a city once shaped by its cloth and textile factories, the work enters a new dialogue with the industrial heritage and ongoing transformation of the region.
