Flood by Joana Vasconcelos will be presented at the 1st edition of Bienal Del Agua, The Traces of Water, taking place in Cascais from 16 July to 6 September 2026. Dedicated to water as an essential resource and shared heritage, the biennial brings together artists, researchers, scientists and activists in an international platform that explores sustainability, ecology and collective responsibility. Presented at the Estoril Congress Centre, Flood is included in a group exhibition curated by Demetrio Paparoni, alongside leading figures in contemporary art. Presented across several venues in Cascais, the 1st edition of Bienal Del Agua, The Traces of Water establishes a multidisciplinary platform where art, knowledge and civic engagement converge, highlighting the role of contemporary art in addressing one of the defining challenges of our time.
