To mark the premiere of Filipe La Féria’s “Mil Vezes Revista” at the Teatro Politeama, Joana Vasconcelos is presenting her work “La Pasionaria” for the first time in Portugal; it will be on display in the Salão Nobre of the Politeama Theatre, establishing a dialogue between contemporary art and the history of one of Lisbon’s most iconic theatres, bringing together two creative worlds that share colour, exuberance, popular culture and a deeply Portuguese relationship with tradition. The collaboration extends to the stage, where Joana Vasconcelos has contributed to the set design. “Mil Vezes Revista” marks the return of Marina Mota and Joaquim Monchique to the Politeama Theatre, leading a cast of over 40 actors, singers, dancers, musicians and technical staff in a spectacular production that will go down in the history of revue theatre in Portugal.
