Various retractable washing lines, on which dozens of lamps hang upside down, are attached from top to bottom to a narrow and upright rectangular structure. Deslunado parodies ordinary lamps and simulates the light well found in many buildings, whose small space is used to hang out the washing. The proximity this requires gives them an ambiguity. Neither public nor private, these common areas of buildings often allow one to observe and be observed. Deslunado refers to the architecture and uses domestic décor to examine the unstable realm that exists between interior and exterior, public and private, with humour and irreverence.
