The installation invites viewers into a self-sustaining ecosystem where instinct, diversity, and imagination converge. Each material speaks its own language, while light moves across the surfaces, revealing textures and reflections that shift with every step. A continuous, evolving soundscape runs through the work, reminiscent of a heartbeat. Its sounds echo the rhythms of nature in motion: the sway of wind, the pulse of growth, the slow transformation of living systems. 

The work also explores the tension between craftsmanship and technology through a striking spatial inversion. Joana Vasconcelos’s suspended draperies and dense, branching forms descend like organic roots, while Arne Quinze’s lighter structure appears to levitate below, unfolding in an undulating rhythm. Upside Down becomes a meditation on creation itself: nature as the ultimate artist, and humanity as participant rather than controller.
