Inspired by the elaborate exuberance of the hairstyles once flaunted in Versailles, Wig proposes a delirious oval form made of amaranth wood and ebony, combined with locks of natural and artificial hair. A strange cocoon vaguely referencing Fabergé eggs, decorated with fine inlays and golden metal appliqués, Wig is a reminiscence of both Portuguese and French furniture. Featuring eccentric conical protuberances from which strings of hair come out, Wig proposes the absurd and the surreal in the uterine shape of a grotesque yet beautiful sculpture-wig-furniture piece.
