Gothica

Gothica presents a rarely seen stained glass filled with dozens of square pieces of Murano glass crossed with light and textile. The pronounced vertical span is complete with a pointed arch, which with the title of the work, emphasize the gothic inspiration. This artwork proposes a revealing dialogue between light, glass and textile. The light crosses the transparency of the glass in tones of blue and red and illuminates the colourful long textile arms that escape and wonder through the rips in the rigid glass. In Gothica, the Murano glass functions as a portal between two dimensions and mediates a strange liberating metamorphoses. The transcendence is revealed in this extraordinary transformative and creative meeting.
